Scope of Work
Our cleaning services are done based on fixed-rate pricing for completing a checklist for three main services as well as add-on services. The three main services are basic, premium, and move-out services.
Each of these services includes a checklist that will be completed by a Cleaner. The checklist for each service is referred to as the “scope of work”.
Our pricing structure is based on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms and on the assumption that the Customer’s home meets an expected, reasonable level of cleanliness. We rely on the Customer to
provide us with accurate information about the number of bedrooms and bathrooms and the condition prior to service. We are not able to perform a walk-through of your home to verify the accuracy of your information regarding the size and condition of your home.
If a Cleaner arrives at a home that does not meet reasonable levels of cleanliness or is larger than expected, the Customer
will be given the option to extend the length of services or reduce the scope
of work to match the time allotted. This is because we base our flat-rate
pricing on the amount of time it takes to clean an average home. If the home is
dirtier than expected, the Customer will have the option to extend the service
time, paying an hourly rate for extended services, or reduce the number of
tasks completed during the service. We will prioritize the tasks most important
to the Customer.
Ultim8 Cleaning Service provides three service plans, basic, premium, and
Move-Out. The scope of services for each plan is listed below.
BASIC
Clean counters, backsplash, mirrors, sinks, toilets, and tubs
Clean exterior cabinets, dishwasher, microwave, oven refrigerator, and
small appliances
Clean interior of microwave
Dust ceiling fans, furniture, headboards, lamps, light switches, and
large electronics
Empty wastebaskets
Make beds and change linen (if provided)
Mop or vacuum floors as appropriate.
PREMIUM
Everything included in the basic service plus:
Clean doors and frames, glass doors, and laundry lint tray
Clean interior dishwasher and range hood
Dust baseboards, blinds, wall hangings, decor, and reachable ceiling
fans
Disinfect wastebaskets
Scrub shower tile and grout
Vacuum upholstery
MOVE OUT
Everything in the Premium plus:
Scrub and clean interior baseboards,
Clean chrome
Clean windows
Clean cabinets
Clean oven and refrigerator
Clean wall scuffs
For move-out cleaning, the apartment or home
must be cleared of personal items and furniture. We do not move heavy
furniture, refrigerators, ovens, washing machines, or dryers
EXTRA CHORES
We can perform extra chores while at home as
an add-on. These chores include (but not limited to):
Do dishes/Load dishwasher
Fold clean laundry or organize clean laundry for up to 20 or 45 minutes
(This does not include washing the laundry or
turning on the dishwasher or washing machine.)
Inside windows
Oven clean
Refrigerator clean
Number of cleaning providers
It is at the discretion of Ultim8 Cleaning
Service how many Cleaners will provide services on any given day. This will
depend on your location, cleaning route, and our availability. If you want to
request a solo cleaner or team, you may do so at least 48 hours before your
cleaning day. However, making a special request may delay your service date or
time.
Late Cancellations
If a booking needs to be rescheduled or
canceled, we require the Customer to provide us with a notice 48 hours prior to
the scheduled booking. If a booking is canceled or rescheduled within 48 hours
of the scheduled cleaning, the Customer will be charged a 50% cancellation
fee. If a scheduled cleaning is canceled on the day of service or the Cleaner
arrives at the home on the day of service and is unable to perform the
scheduled cleaning services, a 100% cancellation fee will be charged to the
Customer.
Cleaners will provide the Customer with a 15 minute grace period, if necessary, but if the services cannot be performed during the scheduled time due to being unable to access the home, or utilities being turned off, the Customer will be charged a 100% cancellation fee. If our Cleaner arrives at the home and encounters anything that could be dangerous, such as hazardous materials in the home, mold, or excessive clutter and hoarding, Ultim8 Cleaning Service reserves the right to refuse services.
Refunds
We strive to provide the best home cleaning services. When your Cleaner leaves your home, we want you to be completely satisfied with the cleanliness of your home. If you are not 100% satisfied, we will schedule a re-clean for you. We
cannot issue refunds, but we will be happy to schedule a re-clean for you.
Cleaning Supplies
Ultim8 Cleaning Service uses our own cleaning supplies and equipment. If the
Customer prefers to use a specific cleaning product, they may purchase the product and provide it to the Cleaner with instructions for use. However, if cleaning products are provided by the Customer, Ultim8 Cleaning Service and its Cleaners will not be responsible for damages caused by cleaning products supplied by the Customer.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing the Cleaner with a safe working environment. If you own a pet, you are responsible for restraining or removing your animals from the home or office prior to cleaning. When a Cleaner arrives at your home, they will not be responsible
for cleaning a room or area unless your pet is in a crate, cage, or outside of
the home. Ultim8 Cleaning Service will not be held liable for any issues related to your pets’ health and safety.
The Customer will be responsible for making sure all electrical equipment is safe to use, with no dangerous or exposed
electrical wiring. Additionally, our Cleaners cannot clean hazardous materials including hazardous waste, blood, urine, pet feces, black mold, or drug paraphernalia.
Smoking
We ask that no smoking take place during the time of your cleaning. If you are a smoker, we ask that you refrain from smoking during the time of service. The Cleaner has the right to cancel services if smoking occurs. The Customer will be charged a 50% cancellation fee if this occurs.
Moving Furniture
Our Cleaners are not responsible for moving furniture such as sofas,
refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, or beds. We can move “light” furniture
at the discretion of the Cleaner. We will clean visible areas by hand or with
an extension duster, but cannot move furniture to clean non-visible areas.
Clutter
The Customer is responsible for removing clutter prior to cleaning services. Customers must pick up all items other than furniture, and decorative
home decor before cleaning. Our Cleaners allocate approximately one minute to
picking up clutter from a room. If the room contains clutter, the Cleaner may
move all the items to a pile before cleaning. Any clutter that takes more than
one minute to pick up is beyond the scope of our services.
Bugs, insects and rodents
It is at the cleaners discretion whether they are prepared to start or continue in the presence of live or dead bugs, insects or rodents are in the property. If the cleaner is not willing to proceed, Ultim8 Cleaning Service reserve the right to cancel the cleaning services until pest control have been or until the property is clear of said items. A cancellation or rescheduling fee may be charged if we decide to cancel for this reason.
Alarm Systems
If you use an alarm system, please notify us prior to services on how
you would like us to handle the security of your home. Your security system may
allow you to provide our cleaner with a security code that is unique for us to
use when entering your home. The Customer is responsible for providing Ultim8
Cleaning Service with instructions on how to handle their security system. It
is our policy to not allow visitors or workmen into your home during the time
of service. Our customers' security and safety are of utmost importance. We
ask that if you have special instructions, you let us know about them prior to
your scheduled cleaning.
Fire Arms
For the safety of our customers and cleaners, we ask that you store any
firearms in a locked area prior to the Cleaner’s arrival in your home. Our
Cleaner will not be responsible for cleaning a room that contains a visible
firearm, or firearm placed underneath a mattress, pillow, or otherwise not
secured in a locked area.
Limitations on Services & Liability
Ultim8 Cleaning Service and its Cleaners reserve the right to cancel cleaning services for any reason.
Our Cleaners provide reasonable care when cleaning your home. Ultim8 Cleaning Service and its Cleaners are not responsible for damages including normal “wear and tear’, rug or carpet snags, or damage to the artwork that is not properly installed.
If the Customer notices damages or perceived damages after a cleaning, the Customer must notify Ultim8 Cleaning Service within 24 hours of the cleaning with the following information: the Customer’s address, damage or
perceived damage, and the time of the cleaning. Ultim8 Cleaning Service will
file an insurance claim once notified.
Limitations on Cleaner’ Responsibilities (but are not limited
to):
Carpet & Rug Snags
Carpet snags result from normal wear and tear, moving furniture, or a vacuum brush snagging an exposed loop. Our Cleaners will avoid areas of carpeting or rugs with frayed edges. However, we are not responsible for damage to carpet or rugs from normal “wear and tear” such as from
vacuuming.
Broken blinds
Each time blinds are cleaned, there is a risk that blinds may break. Daily sun exposure, aging, and usage cause blinds to become brittle and weakened over time. We are not responsible for normal ‘wear and tear” damage to Customer’s blinds.
Improperly secured pictures, decorations, or mirrors
The Customer is responsible for properly securing pictures, mirrors, and home decor to the wall. Properly secured items should not fall when they are dusted or cleaned. Ultim8 Cleaning Service will not be held liable for items broken or damaged due to fixtures, pictures, or wall coverages not being properly secured.
Artwork, Collectors Items, and Family Heirlooms
Any items of value such as non-replaceable, sentimental, artwork, collector items, family heirlooms, or valuables over $200 must be disclosed to Ultim8 Cleaning Service prior to the time of service. These items cannot be cleaned by our Cleaners, and Ultim8 Cleaning Service will not be held liable for damages to such items. As these items may be expensive or non-replaceable, the Customer must inform us in writing of any of these items before our Cleaner arrives at the home.
Woodwork, Vintage Furniture, or Furniture Requiring Special
Care
Because vintage furniture, unfinished furniture, or furniture that is made from material other than wood, may require special cleaning instructions, it is the Customer’s responsibility to inform Ultim8 Cleaning Service of any furniture requiring special cleaning instructions at the time of your booking.
Furniture and special care
Our Cleaners use our own organic cleaning supplies. The Customer may purchase and provide the Cleaner with special cleaning products for specific items of furniture such as leather furniture, vintage furniture, or pianos. The Customer must notify us prior to booking of the cleaning products being provided and instructions for where and how to use them. Ultim8 Cleaning Services and its Cleaners will not be responsible for damages caused by cleaning products supplied by the Customer.
Moving Furniture
Cleaners are not responsible for moving heavy furniture or appliances. Cleaners will clean around or underneath any visible areas that can be reached without moving the furniture. We will move “light furniture” such as sliding dining room chairs. It is the Customer’s responsibility to have furniture glides or scratch covers on light furniture and furniture decor. If
floors are damaged due to a lack of scratch covers or glides, we will not be held liable for damages.
Use of ladders, step ladders, stools
Any cleaning that we do must be reachable by our cleaners. We do not carry step ladders or such. If step ladders are provided then it is at the cleaners discretion whether to use them.
Electricity and Water
We cannot clean a home that does not have running water or electricity. If the Customer’s utilities are disconnected during the time of service, the Customer may reschedule the booking. This must be done 48 hours prior to the scheduled cleaning. If the Cleaner arrives during a scheduled service, and the home has electricity or water turned off, the Customer will be charged a 100 percent cancellation fee.
Bio-hazard and hazardous waste
Our Cleaners have the right to refuse services to any home that is potentially dangerous. Our Cleaner’s health and safety is important. If our Cleaner arrives at your home and encounters animal or human feces, urine, vomit or any other bodily fluids or hazardous materials they will not be able to clean your home.
Exclusions to cleaning
We do not clean the following areas or materials:
- Mold & mildew
- Under furniture
- Under or around personal items, decor that appears fragile, such as
glass decor, or personal knick-knacks or trinkets.
- Outdoor areas
- Areas beyond reach with an extendable duster
Payment for Services
Your credit card will be pre-charged on the morning of the service. If the pre-charge fails, we will try to contact you to arrange payment. If we cannot contact you then the booking will be canceled. Actual payment will be made after we have been. If you would like alternative ways of paying then this must be agreed before the day of service by contacting us on (813) 803-2255.
